Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
This is 86x Ventures' privacy policy. We've written it in plain English because we think that's how privacy policies should be written. Below, you'll find what we collect, why, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over your own information.
If anything here is unclear or you'd like us to explain something further, write to us at privacy@86x.ai. A real person will respond.
Who we are
86x Ventures is a hospitality holding company based in the United States. This policy covers the 86x.ai website and the contact form on it. Each of our portfolio products — ComplianceBoards.com, FranForge.ai, GiveGrow.ai, ShiftMeal.ai, and others — has its own separate privacy policy on its own site. If you're on one of those, this policy doesn't apply there; check the policy on that site instead.
What we collect on 86x.ai
We try to collect as little as we can. Here's the complete list:
When you visit any page of the site: We use a privacy-first analytics tool called Plausible to understand which pages people read and how they got to them. Plausible does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, does not build a profile of you, and does not sell or share data with anyone. The only things recorded are: the page URL, the referring website (if any), the type of device and browser in general terms, and the country (not the precise location). None of this is linked to you as a person.
When you fill out the contact form: We collect whatever you type into it. That typically includes your name, your email address, a description of what you're reaching out about, and (depending on which routing option you select) your company name and role. We collect this so we can respond to you. That's the entire reason.
When you click a link that goes to another site: We record the click as an anonymous event (for example, "someone clicked the ComplianceBoards link") so we can tell which of our portfolio products people are most interested in. The click itself is not linked to you as a person.
What we do not collect:
- We do not use cookies of any kind on 86x.ai.
- We do not use tracking pixels, web beacons, or fingerprinting.
- We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any advertising tracker.
- We do not maintain user accounts on this site, so there are no passwords, profiles, or account data.
- We do not collect payment information. There is nothing to purchase on 86x.ai.
- We do not record your IP address beyond what Plausible uses to derive an anonymous country, and that derivation happens without the address being stored.
Why we collect it
Two reasons only:
- To respond to you when you contact us through the form.
- To understand what's working on the site so we can improve it — which pages get read, which get ignored, whether our portfolio product links are clicked, and whether the site loads quickly for the people reading it.
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not use it for profiling. We do not use it for any purpose beyond the two above.
Who we share it with
Nobody, with these narrow exceptions:
- The email service that delivers contact form submissions to us. When you fill out the form, the contents are sent through a form-delivery service (currently Formspree) that passes the message to our inbox. That service holds the message only long enough to deliver it, per their own privacy terms. They do not sell or use your data.
- Plausible Analytics, which processes the anonymous visit data described above. Plausible is based in the European Union and is GDPR-compliant by design.
- Legal compliance. If we're required by law to disclose information — a subpoena, a court order, a regulatory request we're legally obligated to respond to — we will comply, and where legally permissible we will tell you first.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We do not trade it. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing firms. We have no business model that depends on your data, and we will not develop one.
How long we keep it
Analytics data: Aggregated and retained by Plausible according to their retention policy. The data is not tied to you personally, so there is nothing to delete.
Contact form submissions: Kept in our email inbox for as long as the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterward (typically 24 months) so we can reference prior correspondence if you reach out again. If you'd like us to delete a prior message you sent us, write to privacy@86x.ai and we will.
Where your data is stored
Our email and form delivery infrastructure is based in the United States. Plausible is based in the European Union. If you're visiting from outside these regions, your data will be transferred to and processed in these locations. We rely on standard contractual clauses and equivalent legal protections for these transfers where applicable.
Your rights
Regardless of where you live, we believe you should have control over your own information. If you live in a region with specific privacy laws (the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, or others), you may have additional rights under those laws. Here's what we offer to everyone:
- The right to know what we have about you. Write to us and we'll tell you.
- The right to correction. If we have something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.
- The right to deletion. If you want us to delete the information you've sent us, tell us and we will, unless we're legally required to keep it.
- The right to object. If you don't want us to process your information, tell us and we'll stop.
- The right to portability. If you want a copy of the information we have about you, we'll send it to you in a readable format.
To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@86x.ai. We will respond within 30 days, and usually much faster. We will not ask you to jump through hoops or prove hardship. We will just do what you ask.
Children's privacy
86x.ai is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information through the contact form, write to privacy@86x.ai and we will delete it.
Security
We use standard industry practices to protect the information we collect — encrypted connections (HTTPS is enforced on every page), secure email delivery, and access controls on any system that touches your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the responsibility seriously.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we collect or use information, we will update this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is significant, we will post a notice on the home page for at least 30 days. We will not make changes that affect data we've already collected from you without telling you first.
